Dina Palin

Dina Palin grew up in Great Neck and developed an early passion for the decorative arts and architecture by way of her mother, an art teacher and interior designer. They lived in an iconic 1910 Spanish Colonial Revival home filled with Nakashima furniture and Louise Nevelson sculpture. Her artistic evolution continued when the family moved to the Upper East Side and Dina was introduced to the joys of New York Museum life. An expert in historical lighting and design as well as antique furniture, for nearly twenty years Dina co – founded and ran Historical Materialism with locations in SoHo and Hudson, NY. Along-side her Hudson Valley brokerage business, Dina works selectively with top clients on custom and antique lighting choices for their homes. Dina has split her time between New York City and the Hudson Valley since 1990, and has thoughtfully renovated several Hudson Valley retreats; the most notable of which was featured in Gross and Daley’s Catskill Country Style. She began her real estate career with a leading boutique agency in Columbia County, and quickly leveraged her extensive contacts into a number of successful listing, sales, and rental transactions. Dina was recently recruited to join regional market leader Houlihan Lawrence, Inc. to further expand the important Columbia County market where she resides. She also covers Dutchess, Ulster and Greene Counties where many of her friends reside. Dina graduated from the New York School of Real Estate in 2014 with a certificate in commercial real estate.

Community Involvement

Due to the current state of emergency I have dedicated one day a week for volunteering with our local Mask makers group here in Columbia County, The Mighty Masketeers have delivered thousands of home made masks to local community groups, hospitals, nursing homes and service businesses now open to the public.
