James Higgins

Jim Higgins has been in the Real Estate business for nearly twenty years. Jim is an consistent award winning real estate developer and custom residential homebuilder. Jim has managed new construction, renovation and development of multiple projects totaling over $50,000,000 in the Northeast. Prior to joining Houlihan Lawrence in Greenwich, Jim founded J. Higgins Holdings and Higgins Construction Services of which he is still the managing member. Jim has over a decade’s worth of experience in construction management of custom homes in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. He has managed several high-end and technically sophisticated single-family home projects in Greenwich. Jim has consulted for homeowners and lenders on all aspects of the home building process. In 2001, Jim founded Northstar Property group and was responsible for all of the investment and development activity in the Connecticut Area.

Professional Awards & Achievements

Jim received a Masters of Science from The School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania in Historic Preservation. In addition, he received a Certificate in Real Estate Design and Development, a joint program between The Wharton School and The School of Design. Jim is a graduate of The University of Vermont where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. He is a certified green builder.
