Barb Shaw

Barb Shaw has been living in New Canaan for over 20 years, raising her two children here. In addition to the town listed above, Barb covers Easton, Weston, Wilton and Norwalk exclusively. Barb Shaw’s success can be credited to her extensive knowledge of the New Canaan market and meticulous attention to detail in both understanding the needs of her clients and leading them through each step of the buying and selling process. Prior to her real estate career she has more than 10 years of marketing experience in the financial industry working for such firms as Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns. She also started her own gourmet food business, Peg and Barb’s Boutique Butter.

Shaw is an active member of the community, volunteering at the New Canaan public schools, which her children attend. She was a member of the National Charity League, Co-Chairman of hospitality for the New Canaan Board of Realtors, and a former board member of the Preservation Alliance. She is also an active member of St. Mark’s Church and has also served as a volunteer for the Young Women’s League, YMCA, Frisbee Foundation and the Newcomers Club.

Barb is now serving a 2 year term on the NC Board of Assessment Appeals.
