Christen Menzies

Christy has spent her entire career in residential and commercial real estate. For nearly a decade, she was a mortgage sales trader. During her Wall Street years she managed thousands of negotiations and transactions for some of the world’s most sophisticated institutional investors. She is now excited to bring this expertise to bear for her clients in buying and selling homes in lower Fairfield County. Hailing from the Midwest, Christy first fell in love with Connecticut at Yale, where she was the captain of the women’s volleyball team. She knows the challenges people may face transitioning to the right suburban fit after many years in New York City, and can speak to this from personal experience. She has lived in a number of the hottest towns north of NYC as well as flipped her first home in Miami, FL. Her experience living across these many zip codes, and resulting expansive network, offers homebuyers an authentic look into the lifestyle in Darien and beyond. In Darien, she managed a large scale renovation project of her current home navigating myriad service providers, sourcing materials, and trouble shooting conflicts. With 4 very young children herself, she is in the know on everything Darien and the surrounding towns have to offer families for both education and recreation. A natural extrovert, Christy has enjoyed making new connections each step of the way in life most especially in Darien. She also enjoys group fitness (certified spin instructor), travel, live music, food and wine, and everything associated with the Jerry Seinfeld/Larry David empire.

Community Involvement

Christy is on the board of the Darien Nature Center and serves as the co-chair of their largest annual fundraiser. She is also a member of the Ox Ridge PTO and Darien SEPAC as well as the Yale Alumni Schools Committee and Yale Reunion Gift Committee.
